George Wood is a Manager at Jones & Roth and an active member of the Nonprofit team.

George is experienced in helping private organizations compile and report on their financial activity for loan covenants and investor inquiry. He also has expert knowledge in helping nonprofit organizations meet the reporting requirements necessary to continue receiving grant funding. Some of the nonprofits he works with provide food, shelter, medical care, counseling, and other support for those that need it. Others are actively engaged in acquiring, creating, and maintaining conservation easements along waterways and other key ecological areas in order to protect natural habitat for endangered species and encourage biological diversity.
The work that George does also helps investors and granting agencies review the annual financial activity of the organization to ensure that the activities are aligned with the intent of the investment. Board members and management rely on his work to stress test their accounting systems and advise them on ways they can strengthen their controls to minimize loss in a variety of ways.
Outside of the office George enjoys hiking, disc golf, juggling, music festivals, and nature.
